Has great UI improvements, but still a big step backwards from v3.x
A nice looking UI and some nice Lion features (full-screen, etc, iCloud apparently coming soon too according to their blog) - overall its an OK app. Does what it says it does, but sometimes not too logically, at least in my terms of thinking.
Example, the Loan account doesnt quite make sense: for example, my parents gave me a loan of $3,000.00, I want to set an account to transfer money to so I know its being paid, however I cant specify how much to pay and how often, rather I can only specify the period of time the loan is for (which doesnt apply in a family loan) and the amortization rate, etc. I guess thats nice for a bank-style loan, but what about the simple friend/family loan which most people get?
Second example; the down arrows would symbolize to me to mean expense, or going down in funds. However, it is green in colour which symbolizes the opposite to me. The same applies to the up arrow, it is red in colour. Not sure I understand the logic to that.
Seems like there are just a lot of oversights. Beware too, that their support is very poor. They even rarely answer to their "fans" on Facebook. Their emails are usually days later than they tell you to expect. They always told me they liked my feedback and would incorporate it in the next build, but I have yet to see any of it come to fruition many version updates later. :-/
